This weekend workshop will guide you through essential first steps of Intimacy Choreography:
- Preparing to work
- Communicating with scene partners
- Discerning the story of the moment
- Applying your existing acting skills to this specialized movement and scene work
- Leaving the work at work
- Doing the work with or without an Intimacy Director or Coordinator
This course is for you if:
- You want to feel empowered with tools and information when approaching scenes and moments of intimacy
- You’re interested in foundational concepts and tools to help you understand and engage in scenes and moments of intimacy.
- You’re an actor, director, stage manager, or other in the performing arts.
- You’re excited to understand how to approach Intimacy as a choreographic practice to be applied in scene work
- You want to explore the work without the deadline of a public performance, or achieving rehearsal room goals.
