It’s been a good couple of days.  I’ve consistently done something physical every day (walking, running drills, etc), and I’ve been pretty good at eating better.  Matt and I both had a few days of eating junk, so we went to the St. Lawrence market a couple of days ago to get some veggies, and some good food.  That alone has made my body feel a bit better.

For the exercising portion, I’ve been doing mixture of Farmer Burns breathing exercises, physio, pilates, Chek system exercises, sword drills, and archery.  It depends on what I’m in the mood for, and what I worked the day before.  It’s a gentle way to get into the habit.  I’ll probably get a bit more regimented a little later.

I looked at the idea of “getting in shape” as a goal, and wasn’t too pleased with how vague it is.  Instead, I made concrete goals of “exercise every day”, “get enough sleep”, “drink enough water”, “eat x portions of fruits and vegetables everyday”.  This way, it’s something I can achieve, and I get to knock it off the To Do list!
